Auckland International College student Michaela Jeong gained a perfect score of 45/45 in her IB Diploma in 2016 and as a result received an impressive number of university offers from the University of Tokyo, Imperial College London, University College London, Edinburgh University, New York University, the University of Michigan, the University of California and the University of Toronto. She chose to accept the offer from the University of Tokyo where she was awarded a full scholarship to study Environmental Sciences in their International Programme.

St Peter's has placed first for female champions and second for male champions in the Central Zone Athletics championships.
Sport Waikato calculated the official results based on points earned across all track and field events in all age groups - junior, intermediate and senior. Each school earned points for every 1st – 6th placing.
