Conference 2018 highlights

The 2018 ISNZ Annual Conference was held at the Grand Millennium Auckland in June. The theme of the conference was The Changing Face of Leadership in an Age of Disruption, and delegates enjoyed a challenging and inspiring range of presentations, from speakers including Air New Zealand Chief Executive Christopher Luxon, Singularity University Ambassador Kaila Colbin, and Winsborough CEO Gus McIntosh, to name a few.

The opening ceremony featured a performance from the St Cuthbert’s College Tongan group, and Associate Minister for Education the Hon Jenny Salesa opened the conference and presented our annual ISNZ Honours Awards to seven outstanding Member School staff.

Next year’s conference will be held in Wellington – watch this space for more details as they become available.

Feedback on the 2018 Conference

“A huge thanks for a stimulating and thought provoking conference… I feel sure you can say that you will have affected student outcomes for the better.”

“An excellent conference with some outstanding presenters. I always think if I can take away three or four gems from a conference it has been worthwhile, the weekend surpassed that for me.”

“The range and quality of speakers, the dinner and sponsor input was outstanding and the two days flew by as people were so engaged.”

“Last year's conference was excellent. This year's was even better.”

“The speakers and sessions were inspiring and very relevant, the sponsors engaging and useful and the venue worked well.”

“We all found it very stimulating and thought-provoking and it raised quite a few issues that we need to take into account moving forward in our strategic planning.”
