Sporting and Pipe Band success for St Andrew's College
Over the weekend, the St Andrew's College adventure racing team competed at the New Zealand Secondary Schools’ Adventure Race in Cromwell, claiming the national mixed team title – an outstanding result. The team were also the third team to finish overall.

During Maadi Cup, the Boys’ U16 Coxed Four and the Boys’ U17 Double Sculls rowing crews both finished their A Finals an impressive third to claim bronze medals.
Also competing at a national level were the Senior Girls’ A volleyball team, who placed fourth in New Zealand and were the top South Island team at the New Zealand Secondary Schools Volleyball Championships, making St Andrew’s College history.
The St Andrew's College mixed tennis team also had a great tournament, finishing fourth at the New Zealand Secondary Schools’ Tennis Championships in Christchurch last week.
National Pipe Band Championships
Congratulations to the St Andrew's College Pipe Band on an outstanding performance at the New Zealand National Pipe Band Championships in Dunedin last weekend. 56 students and Old Collegians represented the College at the event.
The A Band won First Place overall in the Juvenile Grade, with first placings from all four judges. The A Band’s success also included runner-up in Grade 2 and Best Dressed.
The B Band performed very well on the first day in their Grade 4A events, finishing eighth place overall against very respected adult bands. For many band members, this was their first National Championship. The B Band finished seventh place overall in the Juvenile Grade.
