2024 has started with some exciting changes at ISNZ and Chief Executive, Guy Pascoe continues to be passionate about ISNZ’s purpose, saying ‘it is our absolute commitment to represent the interests of our schools, grow capability in the sector and champion choice in education.’

We have commenced the year with a fresh new look, a new staff member, Susie Jones, new Continuing Professional Development opportunities, new sponsors Hutton Consulting, Education Perfect and Te Rito Maioha Primary Teacher Education and of course a new coalition Government with a new agenda for education. It has been a pleasure connecting with many of our member schools over the last few weeks and to hear their optimism and positivity about the new school year, particularly from our colleagues in Northland, Auckland and Hawkes Bay who had such a challenging start to 2023.

We understand that education is not a one-size-fits-all proposition. That’s why choice lies at the heart of our ethos. Our schools offer a broad spectrum of tailored educational experiences, ensuring every child finds a path that celebrates and accommodates their individuality. Because education goes beyond academic success, it’s about fostering holistic growth – social, spiritual, and intellectual.

We are looking forward to a very productive 2024.
