Job Description

St Cuthbert’s looks to appoint our new Deputy Principal and Head of Senior School who will lead our exceptional Senior School staff, students and families, and have responsibility for pastoral, academic, cocurricular and service learning delivery. They will also deputise for the Principal, as required.

With over 100 years of experience in educating young women, St Cuthbert’s continues to embrace its founding heritage and traditions while ensuring that we impart skills that young women will need for tomorrow and well into the future. Our girls achieve exceptional academic outcomes. Equally important is that they thrive, find their voice and fulfil their potential: we believe that girls who are happy and well learn best. Innovative curriculum and excellent teaching complement outstanding care and rich cocurricular programs, enabling each girl to find her passions and develop her confidence. Our motto, ‘By Love Serve’ encapsulates the values that inspire our community. We want our staff, as well as our girls, to share in world class learning: we will continue to enhance our programmes and approaches to deliver on that.

Our new Deputy Principal and Head of Senior School will work with the Principal and the senior leadership team in rolling out our latest strategy across the College. There will be significant opportunities for professional growth, including exposure to governance. Our Deputy Principal and Head of Senior School will be a visible and capable leader who is committed to educational excellence. They will be experienced in the smooth running of a senior school and have a record of developing and implementing integrated programmes that achieve outstanding learning outcomes.
