Purpose of the Role: The Director of Performing Arts will be a key member of our operations team, responsible for managing the delivery, organisation, communication, and events related to performing arts at St George’s School. This role also includes teaching responsibilities for Music, Art, and French.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operations: Collaborate effectively with the school’s operations team, providing professional leadership and support to staff.

• Arts Programme: Enhance student participation and enjoyment in performing arts, including choir, and stay abreast of developments in the field.

• Teaching Responsibilities: Deliver engaging and high-quality lessons in Music, Art, and French, fostering a love for these subjects among students.

• Promoting the Arts: Foster the growth of performing arts within the school and the wider community, oversee the teaching of art, drama, dance, and music, and direct school productions.

• Events and Organisation: Coordinate and organise various performing arts activities and performances, ensuring student involvement in local competitions and events.

Person Specification:

• Qualifications: Diploma in Teaching or Education or higher

• Experience: Expertise in performing arts and teaching experience

• Personal Attributes: Innovative, love for learning, future-focused, effective communicator, responsive to student needs, collegial, creative, inspiring, energetic, organised, and kind.
