Key Responsibilities

- Deliver effective curriculum and foster a modern learning culture.

- Ensure consistent and competent delivery of the New Zealand curriculum.

- Implement the school’s vision, focusing on student achievement and engagement.

- Promote self-directed learning and share knowledge on modern teaching practices.

- Engage with students in both subject specialised lessons and self-directed study.

- Enhance Student Learning with Management Systems.

- Assist in analysing student data to identify strengths and areas for development.

- Provide feedback to students to improve their performance and maintain regular progress reports.

- Ensure school policies are correctly implemented.

- Collaborate with CP and RTLB to support students with learning needs, liaising with external agencies as necessary.

Experience and Skills

Essential:

- New Zealand registered Teacher with experience across Year 7 & 8.

- Strong knowledge of learning and effective teaching methods.

- Experience working collaboratively with other adults and leading a key curriculum area.

- Knowledge of modern learning environments and techniques.

Skills:

- Clear communication and effective listening.

- Ability to liaise with parents, staff, pupils, and the wider community.

- Strong planning, assessment, and record-keeping skills.

- Proficient in using Microsoft Office, Zoom, CANVAS, and Edge.

Competencies

- Drive for high standards in learning and teaching.

- Outstanding organisational and communication skills.

- Enthusiasm, good humour, and a commitment to challenging work.
