Job Description

About Us:
Independent Schools of New Zealand (ISNZ) is the national body for independent (private) schools across New Zealand. We are dedicated to supporting, advocating for, and fostering excellence in independent education. ISNZ plays a vital role in promoting and developing Professional Learning and Development (PLD) programmes and networking events that benefit teaching, administration, leadership and governance roles in our member schools.

We are looking for a proactive, highly organised, and enthusiastic Programme Co-ordinator to join our team to help ensure that our various PLD programmes and events are delivered to the highest possible standard. This position offers a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about education and capable of delivering exceptional support to schools and programmes throughout New Zealand.

About the Role:
As the Programme Co-ordinator at ISNZ, you will be responsible for coordinating and supporting various educational programmes, events, and initiatives. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring effective administration, smooth communication, and seamless project management for our PLD programme and networking events, as well as fostering interactions through our online community engagement platform.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinating and managing a variety of programmes, events, and workshops for ISNZ members.
  • Assisting with the development, delivery, and evaluation of educational programmes and initiatives.
  • Supporting communication between member schools, external partners, and stakeholders.
  • Organising logistics for workshops, seminars, and other events.
  • Managing registrations, schedules, and resources for ISNZ programmes.
  • Maintaining accurate records and reports for all ISNZ programmes and activities.
  • Uploading PLD content to our online community engagement platform (Hivebrite), and developing and implementing strategies to increase engagement with the platform.
  • Providing administrative support to the rest of the ISNZ team when needed.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Proven experience in programme or project coordination, ideally within an educational setting.
  • Strong organisational skills with high attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A proactive approach with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other common office products.
  • Comfortable and confident in using or adopting new technologies. Experience with CRMs or online community engagement platforms would be advantageous.
  • An understanding of the independent education sector is desirable, but not essential.
  • A commitment to fostering educational excellence and supporting the needs of our member schools.

Why Work with Us:

  • Be part of a small, dynamic and supportive team that values creativity and innovation.
  • Make a meaningful impact on the education sector and the future of New Zealand’s independent schools.
  • Opportunities for professional development and career growth.
  • Work in a friendly and collaborative environment.
