Queen Margaret College is a high-achieving independent school for girls, Pre-school to Y13, with a rich history of academic excellence and a commitment to fostering global perspectives through language education. We are seeking a permanent part-time Spanish teacher (0.5 or 0.6 load) depending on ability to teach ESOL, which would be an advantage.

Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills & experience  

- Having strengths in and understanding of International Baccalaureate DP/MYP will be an advantage.

- Teach Spanish language courses to students across various year levels, from beginners to advanced.

- Design and deliver dynamic and culturally immersive lessons that cater to diverse learning styles.

- Cultivate an engaging and inclusive classroom environment that encourages active participation and cultural appreciation.

- Assess student progress through various evaluation methods and provide constructive feedback for improvement.

- Collaborate with the Modern Languages department to enhance the Spanish language programme and contribute to curriculum development.

- Engage in professional development activities to stay updated with the latest pedagogical approaches and language teaching methodologies.

- Applicants will have or be working towards New Zealand registration.
