Conference Connections

Sponsors play a huge part in the success of the ISNZ Conference, and this year Delegates had lots of opportunity to engage with all thirty-nine ISNZ sponsors in the large Exhibition Hall at Te Pae, Christchurch. Platinum sponsors, Aon and Fujifilm Business Innovation had a double booth on either side of the entrance way for maximum visibility and Gold sponsors, Cyclone, Education Perfect and Komodo topped and tailed the central exhibition area. The exhibition room was large enough to accommodate morning tea and lunch and this encouraged delegates to make effective use of the time and visit each exhibition stand to learn more about what support sponsors can provide schools. The coffee cart, sponsored by Basalt Solutions, at the far end of the room was extremely popular especially in the mornings! Hutton Consulting, Imageseven and Simpson Grierson chose not to take a stand and instead ‘roamed’ around having conversations on the bar leaners.

To encourage conversation, Delegates were prompted to collect stars from sponsors as part of the Gold Star Prize Draw to win a fabulous prize - $1,000 worth of Air New Zealand flights. To qualify for entry, forms had to include stars collected from 2 x Platinum Sponsors, 2 X Gold Sponsors, 1 X Silver Sponsor and 2 x Conference Sponsors. Delegates embraced this competition with great enthusiasm, some even collecting gold stars from all the sponsors! In addition, Te Rito Primary Teacher Education kindly donated a BLUNT Metro Umbrella and when the winner was drawn, Tour Time kindly donated a further $2,000 worth of travel to go towards a school tour. Congratulations to the Junior Dean from Diocesan School who won the prize draw.

Two sponsors opted to become involved with ISNZ Conference events, the first being Educate Plus, who sponsored the pre-conference Welcome Drinks at Christ’s College and the other, Cambridge, who sponsored the 2024 ISNZ Honours Awards which were held during the Fujifilm Business Innovation ISNZ Dinner.

We have received lots of positive feedback about the event from sponsors with one saying, "A superb venue.
